Supported Document Types

Best supported format - The AI works exceptionally well with Word documents because:

  • Structured content - Headings, lists, and paragraphs are preserved

  • Table support - Data tables can become stats or pricing sections

What's Not Supported (Yet)

  • .doc files (older Word format) - Convert to .docx first
  • PDF files - Copy text out and paste instead
  • PowerPoint files - Copy content to Word document first
  • Excel files - Copy data to Word document with formatting
  • Images within documents - Text content only is processed

How to Upload Documents

Step 1: Open the AI Assistant

  1. Open Promptless WP editor for your page
  2. Click "Generate with AI" button in toolbar
  3. AI modal window opens

Step 2: Choose Upload Method

You'll see two options:

  • Upload Document - For Word (.docx) files
  • Paste Text - For copied content from any source

Step 3: Upload Your File

  1. Click "Upload Document" tab
  2. Click "Choose File" or drag file to upload area
  3. Select your .docx file
  4. Wait for upload to complete (usually a few seconds)
  5. File name appears when upload is successful

Step 4: Review Content

After upload:

  • Preview shows extracted text content
  • Check that formatting is preserved correctly
  • Verify all content was extracted properly
  • Look for any missing or garbled text

Step 5: Configure AI Settings

Before generating:

  • Choose content tone (Professional, Friendly, etc.)
  • Select optimization level (Standard or Advanced)

Troubleshooting Upload Issues

File Won't Upload

Text Paste Alternative

If document upload isn't working, you can paste text instead:

  1. Open your document in Word or Google Docs
  2. Select all content (Ctrl+A or Cmd+A)
  3. Copy (Ctrl+C or Cmd+C)
  4. Go to AI modal in Promptless WP
  5. Choose "Paste Text" tab
