Vendor Dependence and Ownership

Only one part of the stack is commercial: Promptless WP, licensed through Freemius. Promptless CPT Pages, Promptless Forms, FlowMint Workflows and the Promptless theme are free, and none of them checks the Promptless WP licence.

If the Promptless WP licence lapses

Measured on 2026-09-12 by simulating an expired licence:

So the site keeps running. What stops is adding Promptless WP to more pages and working through its AI connector.

If a plugin is deactivated or deleted

Deactivating any Promptless plugin keeps all of its data; reactivating brings everything back. Deleting a plugin from Plugins runs its uninstall routine. Every Promptless product keeps your data when it is deleted, unless you have asked it not to:

Each still removes its own housekeeping when deleted: caches, scheduled jobs, the connector switch and its permission grants.

Note

Up to Promptless CPT Pages 0.10.0, Promptless Forms 1.10.0 and FlowMint 0.9.0, deleting those plugins removed data with no way to keep it: CPT Pages removed its record-type and grouping definitions, Forms every form, entry and uploaded file, and FlowMint every workflow, run and credential. On those versions, export what you need before deleting.

A Promptless WP page survives the plugin being removed: every save also writes the page’s sections into the page’s normal WordPress content as editable blocks, so it becomes an ordinary block-editor page with the same text and structure. Who owns the content

The site owner. Every product stores its data in the site’s own WordPress database and uploads folder — there is no Promptless-hosted service that content depends on. Standard WordPress backups, exports and migrations carry all of it.
