Promptless Forms Entry Steps
These steps work on Promptless Forms entries. Their type names start with
fre_, from the plugin’s original name. None needs a credential. A form
workflow already has its entry loaded as data, labels, entry and
entry_files, so most workflows need these steps only to change or remove
entries.
fre_get_entry
Section titled “fre_get_entry”Loads an entry into the run.
| Setting | Required | What it does |
|---|---|---|
entry_id | No | The entry to load. Defaults to the run’s own entry. |
Output: id, form_id, fields, files, created_at.
Loading an entry replaces data, labels, entry and entry_files for
the rest of the run. An entry that does not exist fails with
entry_not_found.
fre_get_file
Section titled “fre_get_file”Returns the details of the file uploaded in one field of the run’s entry.
| Setting | Required | What it does |
|---|---|---|
field_key | Yes | The file field. |
Output: field_key, exists, file_name, file_path (the full path
on the server), file_url, file_size, mime_type. With no upload,
exists is false and the other fields are absent. For a field with several
files, the first one is returned.
fre_update_entry_status
Section titled “fre_update_entry_status”Changes the status of the run’s entry, as shown in the Promptless Forms entry list.
| Setting | Required | What it does |
|---|---|---|
status | Yes | unread, read or spam. |
Output: previous_status, new_status.
fre_delete_entry
Section titled “fre_delete_entry”Deletes the run’s entry and its uploaded files. It takes no settings.
Output: deleted, entry_id, files_deleted, or already_gone true
when the entry was already deleted.
Put it last. A file step after it finds nothing, and saving warns about that order. A replay of a run whose entry is gone runs with empty form data.
fre_list_entries
Section titled “fre_list_entries”Finds entries. Used in scheduled workflows, typically before
fre_delete_entries.
| Setting | Required | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
form_id | No | One form. Omit, or use *, for every form. | All forms |
status | No | A status, or a list of statuses. | Any |
older_than_days | No | Entries created on or before today minus this many days, site-local. At least 1. | — |
older_than_date | No | Entries created on or before this date, YYYY-MM-DD. Wins over older_than_days. | — |
limit | No | Maximum entries returned, 1 to 1000. | 100 |
Output: entries (each with id, form_id, status, created_at,
oldest first), count, limit, hit_limit (true when there may be more).
An empty result is not an error.
fre_delete_entries
Section titled “fre_delete_entries”Deletes a list of entries.
| Setting | Required | What it does |
|---|---|---|
entries | Yes | A list of entry ids, or of objects with an id, usually "{{ steps.<list_step>.entries }}". |
Output: requested_count, deleted_count, already_gone_count,
failed_count, deleted_ids, already_gone_ids, failed (each with id
and error).
One entry that cannot be deleted is listed in failed and does not stop
the others or fail the step. Deletion is permanent.
