What FlowMint Workflows Is
FlowMint Workflows runs automations on your WordPress site. A workflow is a trigger and an ordered list of steps: when a Promptless Forms form is submitted, or when a schedule comes round, FlowMint runs the steps one after another and records what each one did.
It does the jobs you might otherwise hand to Zapier or Make, inside your own site: email the right person, copy an upload to Google Drive, create a Printavo customer and quote, post to another system’s API, delete old form entries, or import records from a vendor’s feed into Promptless CPT Pages.
What it needs
Section titled “What it needs”- Promptless Forms 1.8.0 or later. FlowMint starts only when Promptless Forms is active. Without it, FlowMint shows a notice and does nothing.
- Background processing. FlowMint bundles Action Scheduler, the job queue WooCommerce also uses. Runs are picked up when WordPress’s scheduled tasks (WP-Cron) fire, which on a quiet site means you want a real cron job. See Installation and setup.
How a run happens
Section titled “How a run happens”- A visitor submits a form. Promptless Forms stores the entry.
- FlowMint looks for an enabled workflow bound to that form. If there is one, it records a run with the status Queued and hands it to Action Scheduler. The visitor sees the thank-you message straight away.
- Action Scheduler picks the run up, usually within a minute. FlowMint loads the entry and runs each step in order, passing each step’s output to the steps after it.
- The run ends Completed or Failed. Every step’s status, output or error is kept in Run History.
A scheduled workflow works the same way, except there is no form entry behind the run.
What a step can do
Section titled “What a step can do”| Category | Steps |
|---|---|
| Control flow and logging | Branch on a condition, catch errors, set a variable, pause, write to the log |
| Promptless Forms | Read an entry or its file, change an entry’s status, list and delete entries |
| Send an email, or send one from a template file | |
| Google Drive | Find or create folders, upload a form’s file, create a text file, share a link |
| Printavo | Find or create a customer, create a quote |
| HTTP | GET, POST or any other request to another system |
| Promptless CPT Pages | Create or update records from a list another step fetched |
The Step library lists every step and its settings.
What it is not
Section titled “What it is not”- Not a visual builder. Workflows are JSON. You write them through the connector, usually by describing the workflow to an AI assistant, or through the REST API. The FlowMint Workflows → Workflows screen lists them read-only.
- Not instant. Every run happens in the background, never during the form submission.
- Not a general integration marketplace. The built-in services are Google Drive, Printavo and email; anything else is an HTTP step against that system’s API.
- Not tied to forms only. A workflow can also run hourly, twice daily, daily or weekly. See Scheduled workflows.
