Connector Overview

With the connector set up, you describe a workflow in plain language and the assistant writes, tests and fixes it with the tools below. Every tool calls FlowMint’s REST API under /wp-json/flowmint/v1/connector/, as the user who generated the connection.

Permission

Every tool needs the flowmint_manage_workflows capability, which administrators have, and the connector switched on under FlowMint Workflows → Connector. The preflight check works with the switch off, so it can report that the connector is disabled.

Tools by task

Start a session

`flowmint_preflight`	Reports the plugin version, whether the connector is on, whether Promptless Forms and Action Scheduler are active, the connected user and permission, which credentials are set, the paths a workflow can read, and a link to the workflow language reference.

Learn what is available

Tool	What it does
`flowmint_list_step_types`	Every step type on the site, with its settings and output.
`flowmint_get_step_type`	One step type in full.
`flowmint_list_templates`	The email template files in `fmw-templates`.
`flowmint_get_template`	One template’s content.

Build and change workflows

Tool	What it does
`flowmint_list_workflows`	The workflows, without their definitions. Filter by form, enabled or `managed_by`.
`flowmint_get_workflow`	One workflow with its full definition.
`flowmint_create_workflow`	Creates a workflow. Workflows made through the connector are tagged `connector:cowork`.
`flowmint_update_workflow`	Changes the title, enabled state or definition. A new definition replaces the old one entirely.
`flowmint_delete_workflow`	Deletes a workflow. Its runs stay unless `cascade` is true.
`flowmint_test_workflow`	Validates a saved workflow’s definition, or a new one for it, without running anything.

Check and fix runs

Tool	What it does
`flowmint_list_runs`	Runs, filtered by workflow, form, entry, status or date.
`flowmint_get_run`	One run with every step’s status, recorded config, output and error.
`flowmint_replay_run`	Runs a finished run again as a new run.

Credentials

Tool	What it does
`flowmint_list_credentials`	The four credential keys and whether each is set. Never the values.
`flowmint_test_credential`	Tests the Drive or Printavo credential.

Good habits for a session

Ask the assistant to run flowmint_preflight first and read the workflow language reference it links to.
Have it create new workflows with enabled false, test them, then enable them. A workflow created without enabled is saved disabled.
Point it at flowmint_list_workflows with managed_by when a site has workflows its owner maintains by hand.
Create the Promptless Forms form before the workflow that listens to it; saving checks that the form exists.

What the connector cannot do

Store, change or delete credentials, or write templates. Those use the REST API directly; see Managing credentials and Email steps.
Run a workflow on demand, or cancel a run. A form workflow runs on a submission, a scheduled one on its timer, and a finished run can be replayed.
Add new kinds of steps. Step types come with the plugin.
Act beyond the connected user’s permission.
