Fields and Groupings

Every record type can carry two kinds of structured data.

  • Post fields — one value per record, such as a price, a status, a date or an address. They appear in the record’s page header and on its cards.
  • Groupings — a list of items per record, such as amenities, services or photos, shown as a block on the record’s page. A grouping can also fill itself from related records.

A quick test: if every record has the same named values, filled in differently, use post fields. If every record has its own list of things, use a grouping.
