What Promptless CPT Pages Is

Promptless CPT Pages is a free WordPress plugin for structured records: the things a site has many of, each shaped the same way — events, council meetings, property listings, staff profiles, services, courses. You create a record type, describe the data each record carries, and every record gets a consistent single page, cards for listings, and (for events) a calendar feed. In the WordPress admin it is the Post Runtime menu.

  • Registers record types (WordPress custom post types) from the Post Runtime → Post Types screen, with no other field plugin needed.
  • Post fields — single values per record, such as a price, a status badge, a date, a rating or an address. Each field has a place in the page header and a place on cards. See Post fields.
  • Groupings — repeatable lists per record, such as amenities, practice areas or a photo gallery, shown in one of five layouts. A grouping can also fill itself from related records. See Groupings.
  • Renders the single page of every record: a header with the title, featured image and fields, your groupings, the main content you write in the WordPress editor, and a short list of related records.
  • Events — a record type with a start date becomes event-shaped: upcoming and past filtering, Schema.org Event markup, and “Add to calendar” and subscribable calendar feeds.
  • Maps — an address field becomes a map on the single page, with no API key.
  • A connector so an AI assistant can set all of this up and keep records in sync with another system.
  • It is not a page builder. Landing pages and the archive page layout you design are built with Promptless WP.
  • It does not draw archive pages itself. Lists of records come from the theme’s archive template or a Promptless WP post grid; CPT Pages adds its fields to those cards. See Archives and post grids.
  • It does not register taxonomies. You attach existing ones, such as Categories, or ones another plugin registers.
  • It does not replace ACF, Meta Box or Pods, and does not read their fields. It owns its own field model.
  • It does not render forms. Put a Promptless Forms shortcode in a record’s main content.
  • Promptless WP (optional). When active, record pages and cards use its colours, fonts and spacing, its post grid can list and filter records, and an empty address field falls back to its Business Identity address. Without it, the plugin uses its own default styling. A record on which Promptless WP is switched on is rendered by Promptless WP instead.
  • The Promptless theme (optional). Its archive cards show your post fields, and it honours the per-type archive card settings (date, author, image shape). Other themes still get the single pages; their archive cards show no post fields.
  • FlowMint Workflows (optional). Its Post Runtime: Upsert Records step syncs records from another system on a schedule. See Importing and syncing records.

Record types and field definitions are stored as WordPress options; each record’s values are post meta on the record. There are no custom database tables.
