Release notes

Each version below lists what you notice after updating. The complete history, including every earlier version, is in the theme’s CHANGELOG.md. To update, upload the new release ZIP; see Installation and setup.

1.4.1 — 2026-09-19

  • Reusable element shortcodes such as [re:phone_number] in the announcement bar now show their value. Until now visitors saw the shortcode as typed.
  • Pages with a Promptless WP Product Grid section keep WooCommerce’s add-to-cart script and styles when the header cart icon is off.
  • A page whose only WooCommerce content is a Product Grid loads a 4 KB stylesheet instead of about 242 KB, so it loads faster. It looks the same.
  • Right-to-left sites get their main stylesheet. The 1.4.0 download was missing it, so Arabic and Hebrew sites lost the theme’s base styles. Update to 1.4.1.

1.4.0 — 2026-09-12

  • Right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Hebrew get a mirrored header, footer, archive cards and announcement bar.
  • Keyboard focus no longer ends up hidden under a sticky header or top bar while tabbing back up a page.

1.3.4 — 2026-09-06

  • The header no longer runs off the screen at very narrow widths, such as a desktop browser zoomed to 400%, so the menu button stays reachable.
  • Skip to content now moves keyboard focus to the content, not only the view.
  • Archive card titles are second-level headings, so archives no longer skip a heading level. They look the same.
  • The primary menu has an accessible name, “Main navigation”.
  • The announcement bar’s close button shows a keyboard focus ring again.

1.3.3 — 2026-09-02

  • Removed a faint line under the announcement bar on screens narrower than 640px.
  • The theme renders correctly when Promptless WP is inactive or older, using its own fallback values for nine design settings.

1.3.2 — 2026-08-22

  • Optional logo versions for dark backgrounds, in Site Identity, plus optional footer-only logos. The header and footer each pick the version that matches their own Light or Dark setting.
  • With the floating header over the first section, a first section with its own colour palette no longer starts partly under the header.

1.3.1 — 2026-08-12

  • Every search form on the site now uses the same markup.

1.3.0 — 2026-08-07

  • Header search: a search icon that opens a full-screen search with instant results, keyboard shortcuts (/ and Ctrl/Cmd+K) and screen reader support. The connector can turn it on.
  • Float Over First Section for the floating header layout.
  • Show Date on Post Cards and Show Author on Post Cards in the Customizer. Pages never show a date or author on cards.
  • WooCommerce product tabs scroll sideways on phones.
