Testimonials Sections

A testimonials section shows quotes from customers or clients, each with the author’s name, role, an optional photo and an optional star rating. All six display styles read the same list of testimonials, so switching between them loses nothing.

  • Quotes from customers, clients, residents or partners that support the page’s message.
  • A single strong quote just before a call to action (the Spotlight display style).
  • Reviews from third-party platforms such as Google or Trustpilot, which can also be marked up for search engines.

For figures such as ratings averages or customer counts, use a Stats section.

The Content tab has the header (Eyebrow Heading, Heading, Body Content), the testimonials, Buttons and Outro Content. Wrap words in the heading in {curly braces} to highlight them.

Each Testimonial has:

Choose Display Style on the Layout tab, under Layout Structure.

Display StyleWhat it looks like
GridCards in a responsive grid below the content. The default.
ScrollOne continuous horizontal row of cards that visitors scroll. No controls.
CarouselA paged slider with arrows and dots: several cards per view, or one large quote at a time.
MarqueeA row of cards that scrolls on its own, like a ticker. Pauses on hover and focus, and has a pause button.
InlineA single column of quotes beside your content. Reads best with one to three testimonials.
SpotlightOne large centred quote at display size. More than one testimonial stacks as several spotlights.

Testimonial Layout sets how each card is arranged: Default (quote at the top, author below) or Centered (avatar at the top, then name and role, stars and quote). It is not offered in Spotlight.

All on the Layout tab unless noted. Controls that do not apply to the chosen display style are hidden.

The SEO tab has one setting, Review Source, which controls whether these testimonials are marked up as reviews for search engines.

ValueWhat it does
Self-CollectedThe default. Testimonials display normally and no review markup is added.
Third-PartyFor reviews taken from independent platforms. Adds Review Source and Original Review URL to each testimonial; review markup is added only for testimonials with both filled in.

See SEO Panel & Schema for the rest of the page’s structured data.

Select the remix icon at the top of the settings panel (tooltip Remix layout - Try a random variant combination) to try another combination of display style, columns and card layout chosen to suit your testimonials. Your content stays as it is. Undo with Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac).

  • Grid columns, card layout and layout variant do nothing in Spotlight. Spotlight is always centred; the settings are kept for other styles.
  • Inline shows only one column. Inline is always a single column beside the content; Testimonials Per Row does not apply.
  • The marquee is still. It stops for visitors who have asked their device to reduce motion and shows the cards as a static grid instead.
  • No review markup appears. Review Source is Self-Collected, or a testimonial is missing its Review Source or Original Review URL.
