WooCommerce Integration

Promptless WP puts WooCommerce products on your marketing pages through the Product Grid section, which reads products live from the store with price, sale badge, rating and add-to-cart button. The store itself stays WooCommerce’s: the shop, category, product, cart and checkout pages are rendered by WooCommerce and your theme.

  • Show a few products, or one category, on the home page, a campaign page or a landing page. Use a Product Grid section.
  • Link from a Promptless page to the shop or a category with an ordinary section button.

For browsing and filtering the whole catalogue, use the WooCommerce shop and category pages.

  1. Make sure WooCommerce is active and has published products.
  2. Open the page in the Promptless WP editor and add a section. The Product Grid appears in the section list as WooCommerce.
  3. In the Query tab, choose the number of products, a category or All Products, and the order.
  4. Choose what each card shows and the layout. All the options are in Product Grid Sections.

Prices, stock and sale status are read when the page loads, so changes made in WooCommerce appear without editing the page. The add-to-cart button follows WooCommerce’s rules for each product type.

PageBuilt with Promptless WP?
Home, landing and campaign pagesYes. Add Product Grid sections alongside any other section.
Shop and product category pagesNo. WooCommerce renders them as archives, and Promptless sections are not shown there. Style them in your theme.
Single product pagesNo. Products are WooCommerce’s own post type; the Promptless WP box appears only on posts and pages.
Cart, checkout and account pagesNo. Leave the builder off on these pages. Saving a page in the Promptless WP editor replaces its normal content, which would remove WooCommerce’s cart or checkout block.

The Promptless theme includes a WooCommerce template and stylesheet built on the same Promptless design settings, so store pages match your Promptless pages. Other themes style those pages in their own way.

  • The Product Grid is no longer offered when you add a section.
  • A Product Grid already on a page shows a notice that WooCommerce is required instead of products. The rest of the page is unaffected.
  • In wp-admin, users who can install plugins see a notice listing the pages that contain a Product Grid. It can be dismissed.
  • The Promptless connector refuses to add a Product Grid while WooCommerce is inactive.

Turn WooCommerce back on and the sections show products again, with their settings unchanged.

  • “No products found.” No published product matches the section’s category. Check the category has published products.
  • Products listed without prices or cart buttons. The page uses a Post Grid showing the product post type. Post Grid treats products as ordinary posts; use a Product Grid instead.
  • Only one category per section. Add a second Product Grid for a second category.
  • No filter bar or pagination. The Product Grid shows a fixed selection of up to 50 products.
